BIRGUNJ: COVID-19 cases in Parsa have reached 101.

With the confirmation of coronavirus infection in two more people on Saturday, the number of infected people in the district has reached 101.

It has been confirmed that a 60-year-old woman of Sakhuwa Prasauni-1 and an 18-year-old man of ward no 2 have been found infected with the coronavirus.

The PCR test was carried out at a laboratory in Birgunj by collecting the swabs of 50 people in the quarantine of Dipnarayan Higher Secondary School in Auraha Panchgaon of Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality.

Two of them reported positive on Saturday had come from Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh of India on May 26.

According to medical superintendent at Narayani Hospital Dr. Madan Kumar Upadhyaya, 3,630 swabs have been collected in Parsa district so far.

Out of which, the number of infected people in the district has reached 101 after the reports of 3,360 people were received till Saturday.

A total of 95 people including four Indians have returned home after treatment.
