Over 4,000 India returnees quarantined in Baitadi

BAITADI: A total of 4,172 people who had recently returned from India have been quarantined at quarantine centers of all the 10 local units in the district.

As of Friday evening, 858 people are in quarantine in Shivnath Rural Municipality, 716 in Melauli Municipality and 646 in Pancheshwor Rural Municipality.

Similarly, in Patan Municipality 354 have been quarantined, 329 in Dogadakedar Rural municipality, 328 in Purchaudi Municipality, 297 in Dasharathchanda Municipality, 241 in Sigas Rural Municipality, 284 in Surnaya Rural Municipality, and 116 in Dilasani Rural Municipality.

The number of people returning from India due to coronavirus infection is increasing with each passing day.

Nepalis in India for employment have started returning after lockdown has been eased in India.
