Shashanka Koirala appeals to all to rise above party interest



KATHMANDU: General Secretary of the Nepali Congress Dr. Shashanka Koirala has appealed to all to involve in resolving people’s problems by rising above political and partisan interest during this hour of crisis surfaced due to coronavirus infection.

In a video message today, General Secretary Koirala said the problems facing by daily wage earners, and workers, people having low-income, pregnant women and chronic disease patients have made him worried.

He said he, on behalf of the NC, and himself drew the government’s attention time and again to rescue Nepalis stranded in the border area and facing problems abroad. He thanked the health workers working at the frontline during the risk.

“As a doctor, I know the challenges of their work. So I want to urge all to support and respect health workers at such difficulty”, said Koirala.

Extending best wishes on the occasion of the Ramjan festival of the Muslim community, he urged them to recite namaj at their own homes and not to make a crowd. Dr. Koirala also informed about the risk of coronavirus infection and measures to be safe from it.
