KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted rain amidst thunderstorms in various parts of the country today.
Meteorologists have forecast rains coupled with thunderstorms and lightning due to water vapor and arising from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea and local winds.
Currently, the weather is generally cloudy in the eastern region and partly cloudy in the central and mainly fair in the rest of the country, said MFD.
Weather will remain generally cloudy until the afternoon with chances of rain accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning in some parts of the country.
With the start of the pre-monsoon, the country has been witnessing rains in various parts of the country for the last few days.
This kind of weather will continue until Saturday, according to meteorologists.
