Don’t rearrest Biplav cadres following release order: SC



KATHMANDU: Supreme Court (SC) has issued an order to the security agencies not to rearrest leaders and cadres of Biplav outfit following the release order.

The apex court issued this order following complaints that the police rearrested them even after the release order by the district courts by filing another cases against them in another district.

Hearing a habeas corpus case of Bil Bahadur Gurung, Durgalal Tamang, Narayan Bahadur Kunwar, Sujan Thapa including Lamjung district in-charge Janga Bahadur Bhandari, the SC warned not to arrest them again once released.

A joint bench of Justices Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada and Tej Bahadur KC has concluded that police have arrested Biplav cadres again in various districts even following the release order by the district courts.
