Government forms Advertisement Board



KATHMANDU: The government has constituted the Advertisement Board for the first time with the objective of formulating the overall advertisement policy and regulating the advertisement in the communications sector of Nepal.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has appointed Chairman of the Rajdhani Daily Publications Mahendra Bahadur Sherchan and journalists Shuva Shankar Kandel, Balaram Thapa, Chandra Neupane and Bandana Danuwar as members of the Board. The term of the Board members would be of four years.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung handed the appointment letters to all the members amid a program organized at the Ministry today.

On the occasion, the Minister wished them success in discharging their duty.

The Chairperson of the Board would be selected through open competition.

The Joint Secretary each from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology would also be the members of the Board.
