HUMLA: After 54 people discharged after recovery in Humla, the Himalayan district has got only one coronavirus patient remaining in the district now.

According to Prem Singh, the chief of the Health Service Office after the discharge of 54 coronavirus patients after recovery, there is only the COVID -19 positive doctor remaining as the only patient in the district.

Namkha Rural Municipality formerly identified as the local level with the community-level transmission of the coronavirus pandemic found 44 people coronavirus negative while carrying out the test through the ‘antigen’ method.

Singh informed that 54 including three staffs of Mahabouddha Yalbang, 32 students of a school there and 19 students of religious school set up in a monastery there have been discharged after recovery now.

Two of the patients have been flown to Kathmandu for further treatment.

Humla has seen 66 cases of coronavirus till date and has only one person, the doctor working in the Humla District Hospital, still in Humla as a COVID-19 patient.
