Gandaki Province sees three COVID-19 deaths; 269 cases recorded



POKHARA: The Gandaki Province has witnessed three coronavirus related deaths and additional 269 cases of infection in the past 24 hours.

An 81-year-old elderly man of Pokhara metropolis-15 in Kaski died at home isolation this morning while a 70-year-old woman of Waling municipality-5 in Syangja breathed her last at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Western Regional Hospital under the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, shared hospital’s director Dr Arjun Acharya.

According to the Gandaki Province Health Directorate, a 72-year-old infected man of Galkot municipality-3 of Baglung died while undergoing treatment at ICU of Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences on Thursday evening.

With this, the death toll from coronavirus infection has reached 75. Number of infected has jumped to 7,316 in the Gandaki Province. As many as 4,221 infected have so far recovered from the infection whereas the number of active infection cases has reached 3,020.
