Two persons die of COVID-19 in Kavre



KAVRE: Two persons including a journalist succumbed to COVID-19 here Friday.

The deceased journalist was Bishnu Prasad Chaulagain, 51, of Chaurideurali Rural Municipality while the other victim was a 39-year-old man.

Chaulagain was the chief editor of the Kavre Post weekly. He breathed his last at Om Hospital in Kathmandu around 4:00 am during the treatment.

He was admitted to the hospital on 17 October when his fever went high. He had tested positive for COVID-19 on 12 October. The coronavirus infection had caused multiple organ failure in Chaulagain who was a chronic patient of bronchitis.

He is survived by a spouse, a son and two daughters, informed Deepak Chaulagain, the brother of the deceased.

So far, 21 persons have lost their lives to this flu-like infection in Kavrepalanchowk district. Among them, 14 were male and seven female.

Similarly, the COVID-19 caseload in the district reached 1,606 till date. Among them 1, 103 have recovered fully.
