Police nab 10 gamblers from Chandragiri



KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Police Circle Thankot has arrested ten gamblers from Chandragiri-4 and seized Rs 133,000 from them on Friday morning.

According to police, following a tip-off that the gamblers are playing cards at Dhan Singh Gopali’s house located at Chandragiri-4, the police were able to arrest them red-handed with six packets of cards and the money meant for gambling.

The police have also nabbed 46-years-old Gopali from his house.

Starting from Kojagrat Purnima, the last day of Dashain, people spend hours playing cards, dice and many other games for fun till another major festival Tihar concludes.

Gamblers take advantage of such moment and turn more daring during this period.
