KATHMANDU: Seven people, including three in Kathmandu Valley, died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the death toll from the pandemic to 498.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the deceased are five males and two females.
A 60-year-old male in Sunsari, 60-year-old male in Morang, and a 39-year-old male in Saptari succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
Likewise, three patients, including two females of 34 and 86 years old, and a 54-year-old male died of coronavirus in Kathmandu.
Similarly, an 82-year-old male succumbed to coronavirus in Rupandehi district.
Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 1,559 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.
As many as 1,057 infected ones fully recovered from the virus, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
With this, the tally of coronavirus infected has reached 77,817 in the country, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said in a daily press briefing this afternoon.
He shared that the country now has altogether 20,891 active cases of coronavirus disease.
Likewise, Dr. Gautam said that 10,084 individuals are in institutional isolation facilities while 10,804 individuals are in home isolation, and 5,428 people are in quarantine facilities across the country.
