Tiger kills one, injures two people in Rautahat



KATHMANDU: A tiger has killed a person and left two injured in Rautahat district.

According to SP Siddhi Bikram Shah of Rautahat Police Office, Sangam Bhandari, 26, from Chandrapur Municipality – 6 has been killed and eaten partially by the tiger.

He informed that Bhandari who had disappeared while out for cutting grass on Tuesday morning.

A joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force found Bhandari’s dead body with the part below the waist all eaten.

According to the police, Ashok Thapa, 30, and Prabin Shrestha, 34, who had gone to search Sangam were also attacked by the tiger.

Both Thapa and Shrestha are receiving treatment in Chandrapur Hospital.
