NEA issues notice on power tariff during pandemic



KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has made public about concession and fine in power tariff during the pandemic.

Issuing a notice, the NEA said no additional fine would be charged up to Nepali month Ashwin 22 (October 8) for the bill of Bhadra at a time when the task of meter reading and billing are irregular due to the coronavirus.

The notice further said that 5 percent of additional fine will be charged if the bill is paid by Ashwin 23-30 (October 9 to 16).

Customers themselves can update the details online by reading the meter or call at 1150 to update the details, according to the notice.
