489 Nepalis repatriated on Sunday



KATHMANDU: A total of eight international chartered flights took place to and from Tribhuvan International Airport (TUA) on Sunday.

From these chartered flights, 489 Nepalis stranded in different countries returned home today.

TIA authorities said 151 Nepalis came to Nepal in a chartered flight of Nepal Airlines from Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia while 156 others arrived home in the plane of Himalaya Airlines from there.

Likewise, Malindo Air brought 173 Nepalis back home from Kuala Lumpur.

The TIA Office said Shree Airlines brought a dead body from Bangkok in Thailand.

Likewise, Nepal Airlines and Himalaya Airlines are also scheduled to make chartered flights from different destinations on Monday as well.
