COVID-19 patient under home isolation dies in Bhaktapur

BHAKTAPUR: A sexagenarian COVID-19 patient under home isolation succumbed to the pandemic on Saturday night.

A 65-year-old man of Dudhpati in Bhaktapur Municipality-1 died last night, said Ward Chairman Shyam Krishna Khatri.

The deceased was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure and was diagnosed coronavirus positive on Thursday.

Preparations are underway to manage the body of the deceased. This is the first time an infected person living under home isolation died in Bhaktapur.

With the death, the COVID-19 death toll in Bhaktapur has reached seven.
