Parliamentary sub-committee formed to study issues related networking business



KATHMANDU: The Industry, Commerce, Labor and Consumer Welfare Committee of the Parliament has formed a sub-committee to study the issue related to networking business.

A meeting of the House panel held on Thursday decided to constitute the five-member committee led by lawmaker Som Prasad Pandey.

Lawmakers Prakash Rasaili, Amrita Agrahari, Krishna Kumar Shrestha and Sarita Kumari Giri are the members of the sub-committee.

The sub-committee has been give a 15-day deadline to finalize a study report.

The committee has instructed the Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection not to allow companies to operate networking businesses immediately even if they have got permission from the department.

The committee has also instructed not to give permission to others who are in the process of getting approval.
