Entry to Kathmandu Valley made strict



KATHMANDU: The government says it would allow people enter the Kathmandu Valley on the condition that they strictly abided by the rule of home quarantine after arrival.

The COVID-19 crisis management center (CCMC) said people coming to Kathmandu from other districts must have a recommendation letter from the respective local level with the commitment that they would stay in home quarantine after entering the Valley.

According to Secretary at Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Mahendra Guragain, people willing to come to Kathmandu must produce recommendation letters from the local level, ward office, and police office and must not leave home for 14 days after arriving here.

This rule is applicable to those coming via air and land routes.

Likewise, each employee at airport will be provided two sets of PPE for safety measure.
