NC CWC meeting taking place at 1 pm

KATHMANDU: A Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress is taking place on Saturday.

To be held at 1 pm at the central party headquarters today, the meeting will discuss the Constitution Amendment Bill tabled at the parliament secretariat on Friday.

The government on last Friday registered the Constitution Amendment Bill at the Parliament Secretariat following the issuance of the revised map of Nepal including India-encroached Nepali territories Limpiyadhura, Lipu Lekh and Kalapani.

On May 27, the government planned to table the Constitution Amendment Bill in the parliament, but it was removed from agenda at the eleventh hour after the main opposition Nepali Congress bought time for it, according to ruling party leaders.
