Number of COVID-19 infected Nepalis in Bahrain climbs to 126



KATHMANDU: As many as 126 Nepali migrants in Bahrain have been infected with coronavirus.

The Nepal Embassy in Manama said additional 77 Nepali migrant workers have been infected this week.

Some 49 Nepali workers were infected by the virus last week.

The Bahraini government authorities informed Nepali Ambassador to Bahrain, Padam Sundas that the Nepali migrant workers will be shifted to a safer place where health workers will treat them.

According to the Embassy, the Bahraini government has made a new arrangement to take care of migrant workers, including Nepalis.

So far, Bahrain has seen a total of 1,556 coronavirus cases. Eight people have died so far in Bahrain.
