Coronavirus kills 27, 359, infects 201, 505 in Italy



KATHMANDU: Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has reported 383 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 27, 359 as of Wednesday morning.

The number of infection cases in the country has reached 201, 505 after 2, 091 new cases were reported, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America, according to Worldometer.

Currently, 105,205 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1,863 are critical. Meanwhile, 68,941 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 217,784 and infecting 3,136,052 people as of Wednesday morning.
