Red mark painted on foreign returnees houses in Jhapa



JHAPA: A red ‘cross’ has been painted on the house of foreign returnees in Mechi Nagar Municipality-8 of Jhapa, the border with India, who arrived recently from foreign nations due to coronavirus fear.

According to Ward member Santosh Meche, the initiave has been taken to identify the house of foreign returnees who arrived their home recently.

He said that 17 people have come from abroad recently including India and their 83 family members have been asked to stay at home safely.

So far, in Nepal, there is only imported case of coronavirus, so local levels have started keeping alert to fight against Covid 19, he said.

Local representatives have praised the idea which keeps other people aware.
