Jhapa-based business community to contribute to disaster management fund

BIRTAMODE: The Jhapa-based business community has said that it is to contribute to a fund meant for containing the coronavirus pandemic.

The district-based business and industries’ associations have decided to provide monetary support ranging from Rs 200 to 100 thousand each to the fund set up by the District Disaster Management Committee to fight against COVID-19.

The amount will be deposited in the fund through the Jhapa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Disaster Management Committee had earlier set up the 50 million-fund bearing in the mind the heightened risk of disease outbreak.
