Indian embassy urges Indians in Nepal to adhere to the lockdown guidelines



KATHMANDU: The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has urged all Indian nationals in Nepal to keep themselves aware of various restrictions and guidelines imposed by Government of Nepal and Government of India as safety and precautionary measures to ensure public safety and to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The embassy has asked all Indian nationals to adhere to laid down norms and the guidelines issued through advisories or notification by the local government and take due precaution ensuring your own safety and safety of the larger community.

The government of Nepal has imposed a complete nationwide ‘lockdown’ from March 24 till March 31, 2020.

The government has also sealed all land ports of entry into Nepal closing movement of people between March 14 and April 30, 2020.

Meanwhile, the Indian embassy in Kathmandu has advised Indian students in various universities or institutions in Nepal to adhere to the instructions issued by the government.
