Luxembourg FM Asselborn holds talks with Minister Gyawali

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn today held talks with Nepal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar, the two ministers discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The two ministers exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and concern as well as on issues of regional and international issues of common concern.

Foreign Affairs Minister Gyawali also organized a lunch in honor of his Luxembourg counterpart today.

Luxembourg FM Asselborn arrived in Kathmandu today on a two-day visit on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Luxembourg.

The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1975.

Minister Asselborn is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Oli on Thursday.

This is the first-ever visit to Nepal by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg.
