Kathmandu Valley sees 548 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 548 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 422 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 65 in Bhaktapur, and 61 in Lalitpur.

Likewise, as many as 1,255 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 2,31,978 with fresh cases as of Sunday afternoon.

A total of 1,404 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 2,12,590 in the country.

Nepal currently has 17,909 active cases.

Likewise, 632 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 25 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,479, the Ministry confirmed.
