Issues in party appeared due to lack of regular meetings: NCP Vice-Chair Gautam

KATHMANDU: Vice-Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bamdev Gautam has said that a big issue has occurred in the party as meetings could not be held regularly.

In a statement issued by Gautam’s Press Coordinator Bishwamani Subedi, it is mentioned all the issues within the party have been caused for a lack of meetings.

“The fact that both the Chairpersons have to agree during the meeting means that neither of the chairpersons has the right to air view for not letting meeting to convene and obstruct the meeting,” he said, “The general secretary should convene the meeting in consultation with the chairperson only if a member of the committee has demanded that the meeting be held as per the party’s constitution.”

Gautam said that the ideas scattered outside the party have entered the party. He said that now everyone can solve the problem if they want.

“Because the life of the party is in the meetings and the life of the meetings is in the discussion. The party life ends from the day you stop doing this. The revival of the party begins with meetings. Thank you to all who worked hard to make this meeting happen. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to both the Chairpersons for expressing their views in the meeting,” said Gautam.

Gautam also said that he would not comment on the proposals any time soon.
