Prachanda’s message to Oli- Let’s seek solution thru meeting not one-to-one talks

KATHMANDU: The internal dispute of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has not been resolved yet.

The meeting of the Central Committee has been postponed for a month due to disagreement between the top leaders and the meeting between Chairmen KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has also not been held for the past few days.

According to sources, the Chairmen are however involved in an exchange of the message. Both the Chairpersons are exchanging messages through second-tier leaders. The two Chairpersons are exchanging messages through NCP General Secretary Bishnu Poudel, NCP Parliamentary Party leader Subas Nembang and Lumbini Province Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel.

Oli had called Prachanda for a discussion after he became dissatisfied over the Cabinet reshuffle. Lumbini Chief Minister Pokharel had reached Prachanda’s residence on Thursday morning to call Prachanda for a meeting.

He had urged Executive Chairman Prachanda to hold talks with Prime Minister Oli.

According to a source, Prachanda expressed dissatisfaction over the non-implementation of the agreement reached with Oli in the past.

Similarly, Prachanda sent a message to the Prime Minister for seeking a way out through a meeting saying that the one-to-one talks were meaningless, according to the Secretariat.
