20 gamblers held from Chitwan 



CHITWAN: District Police Office (DPO) Chitwan has arrested as many as 20 gamblers with cowries and playing cards.

Acting on a tip-off, three police squads deployed from Area Police Office, Madi, Area Police Office Ratnanagar and Area Police Office, Khairahani arrested seven, seven and six gamblers respectively, informed Police Inspector Subas Bhatta of  DPO, Chitwan.

Police have seized Rs 246,765 in cash, cowries and playing cards during the raids that were carried out in the period of 12 days.

A case has been forwarded against the arrested under the gambling act.
