Swoyambhu and Sohrakhutte coronavirus hotspots



KATHMANDU:  With the increasing number of coronavirus cases, Kathmandu Metropolitan City has turned into a hotspot for the coronavirus, of late.

Swoyambhu and Sohrakhutte of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City have been the worst-hit in the capital with the highest number of coronavirus cases.

According to the Health Division of the Kathmandu metropolis, Swoyambhu has 781 cases while Sohrakhutte has 572 coronavirus cases.

Similarly, four people have died of coronavirus at Swoyambhu and three at Sohrakhutte.

As many as 8,503 people have been infected with the COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Metropolis and 70 have died due to the virus.

Currently, 557 are undergoing treatment in home isolation while 365 are out of contact. Meanwhile, 2,637 have recovered from the virus.

Likewise, 481 have been infected with the virus at Maharajgunj, 516 at Tripureshwor, 469 at Kalimati, 445 at Kalanki, and 449 at Koteshwor, said the Kathmandu metropolis.
