Sexagenarian succumbs to COVID-19 at Koshi Hospital



BIRATNAGAR: A 60-year-old man of Dubahi municipality-5, Sunsari has died from coronavirus in the course of treatment at Biratnagar-based Koshi Hospital.

The sexagenarian’s swab sample which was tested posthumously at the laboratory of Koshi Hospital came out with the positive result.

The elderly was admitted to the isolation of the hospital for treatment at 2:45 pm on Monday after he showed symptoms similar to the coronavirus.

According to Dr Laxminarayan Yadav, a senior physician at the hospital, the patient died at 3:05 pm. His swab was collected after his death and its report came out with coronavirus positive at 8 pm.

The deceased had fever, dry cough and respiratory complications but had no any chronic diseases, according to Yadav.
