25 companies to face action for operating networking business

KATHMANDU: The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumers Protection has knocked the door of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police for arresting those involved in the fraudulent cases.

The Department had asked for help from the CIB based on the complaints against the illegal networking businesses thriving in Nepal, of late.

Following a preliminary study carried out by the Department, the Department last Tuesday dispatched a letter to the CIB seeking action against 25 companies and over 50 individuals involved in the operation of networking businesses.

The Department had investigated the case after it received the complaint that some Nepali and foreign companies were defrauding people through the operation of illegal networking businesses.
