175 COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment in ICU, 22 on ventilator support

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has said that 175 COVID-19 patients in Nepal are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 22 have been put on ventilator support.

According to the Ministry of Health, 15 persons are undergoing treatment in ICU in Province 1, 38 in Province 2, 78 in Bagmati Province, three in Gandaki Province and 17 in Province -5 and 24 in Karnali Province.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Jageshwor Gautam also said that three in Province 1, 17 in Bagmati and two in Province 5 are on the ventilator support.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 884 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

With this, the number of infected persons has reached 37,340 in Nepal.

The Ministry recorded 12 deaths caused by the coronavirus in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of those losing battle against COVID-19 reached 207 in the country.
