186 persons test coronavirus positive in Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: As many as 186 persons have been diagnosed positive for the coronavirus in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at the regular press briefing, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Populations, stated that 155 persons in Kathmandu, 19 in Lalitpur and 12 in Bhaktapur have tested positive for the pandemic virus.

Similarly, Nepal recorded 884 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of infected persons has reached 37,340.

The latest result came after the PCR tests carried out on 10,971 persons, said Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam.

Among the new cases are 642 male and 242 female.

Similarly, 20,555 persons have so far recovered. In the last 24 hours, 313 were recorded to be free from the virus.

Currently, 175 persons are undergoing treatment at the ICU ward while 22 are on ventilator support.
