10 NA personnel test positive for coronavirus in Mahottari



MAHOTTARI: As many as 13 people, including 10 Nepali Army (NA) personnel deployed for disposal of dead bodies of the coronavirus victims and management of isolation wards in Mahottari and two teachers, and another person have tested positive for coronavirus.

According to Girendra Kumar Jha, the focal person for COVID-19 in Mahottari health office, as many as 13 persons, including 10 NA personnel were found positive for coronavirus in the test report of the PCR received on Wednesday.

Jha said that the NA officials deployed in the disposal of the dead body of a coronavirus victim of Mahottari Rural Municipality-3 and others deployed in the management of isolation ward at Pipara Municipality got infected with coronavirus.

The NA personnel have been kept at the Central Division of the NA.

Jha said that the district has so far reported as many as 859 confirmed coronavirus cases.
