KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has changed its way of delivering its services in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Tulsiram Poudel, Assistant Chief District Officer at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, said that the DAO has specified days for services to be provided to the service seekers to avoid overcrowding.
A new structure of service delivery has been issued as per the decision of the Council of Ministers held on July 20 and the decision of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur District Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) on July 27.
Specific days have been fixed for the scheduled services from August 2. The administration has set a date for the flow of services according to the municipality for services such as citizenship certificate, copy of citizenship, minor identity card, passport, renewal of arms registration, among others.
The service seekers of Kathmandu Metropolitan City will get the above-mentioned service on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Likewise, people of Kirtipur, Nagarjuna and Chandragiri municipalities will have to go to the administration on Mondays to avail the above-mentioned services.
For the service recipients of Budhanilkantha, Tokha, Kageshwarimanhara municipalities on Wednesdays and the service recipients of Gokarneshwar, Dakshinkali, Shankarapur and Tarkeshwar municipalities will get the above mentioned services in the administration on Fridays.
Similarly, the administration has given continuity to the old system in registration and renewal of new institutions.
Accordingly, the registration of the new organization is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays. Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays have been specified for renewals.
Likewise, the registration of newspapers/printing houses and the work of amending the constitution will take place only on Fridays.
Apart from this, tasks related to the request for peace and security and issues related to the law, coordination and discussion related to government offices / projects will be conducted in all working days.
