Two killed in mini truck-scooter collision



KATHMANDU: Two people were killed in a mini truck-scooter collision  that occurred on Thursday night in Balaju.

The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Lokendra Bista and Dhan Bahadur Budha, 25, of Bajhang, said Metropolitan Traffic Police Division.

The accident took place when the mini truck, Ba 2 Kha 5484, heading to Balaju from Gongabu collided head-on with a scooter, Na 65 Pa 2001, coming from the opposite direction, according to MTPD.

Critically injured Budha and Bista died at National Trauma Center and TU Teaching Hospital in the course of treatment, respectively.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the mini truck drive under control.
