KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said it was the need for all the political forces in the country which fought together for establishing republic.

In his republic day-2077 BS message today, Dahal said the republican governance system has ensured the rights of all oppressed communities as well as inclusive and proportional representation in all state apparatuses.

He further claimed that the democratic republic has represented not only minor quantitative changes in the century-old monarchic system but substantial quality changes.

Offering homage to all martyrs who laid down their lives in the people’s war and several people’s movement meant for attaining republic, he also expressed high respect to the disappeared and mutilated combatants’ sense of devotion and dedication.

The NCP chair also highly appreciated all those who are working at the frontline for the prevention and control of coronavirus pandemic as well as wished for the good health and progress of all the Nepali people on the occasion of the historical day.
