NCP to hold its Secretariat meeting on Wednesday

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding a meeting of its Secretariat on Wednesday.

A meeting of leaders representing two different groups of the leaders of the party on Tuesday agreed to summon the Secretariat meeting to settle the intra-party feuds.

The decision to this effect was made soon after the two Chairmen — KP Oli and another Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal held a meeting on Tuesday afternoon at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The Secretariat meeting will said to decide whether to summon the Standing Committee meeting or not.

It has been learned that party senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is adamant that a policy of ‘one person, one post’ should be implemented within the party.

Earlier on Monday, with the intra-party wrangling gaining a new height in NCP, leader Nepal and PM Oli had held about an hour-long one-on-one talk.
