Conman arrested for posing as employee of US Embassy

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a person on the charge of swindling people posing himself as an employee of the US Embassy in Kathmandu.

The arrested is Kedar Khadka, 41, of Melamchi Municipality-9, Jyamire in Sindhupalchowk district.

According to police, Khadka had swindled some people showing them fake identity card as executive manager of the Embassy.

Acting on a complaint, a team of police deployed from the Metropolitan Crime Division arrested him.

He has been handed over to Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu for further action.
