Minister Aryal claims of reclaiming 284 bigaha of govt land



KATHMANDU: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Aryal today claimed that the government has so far reclaimed more than 284 bigaha of government land encroached upon by companies and individuals in the past one-and-a-half years.

Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu today, Minister Aryal said she initiated action to implement recommendations of a panel that was formed to protect the government land.

Likewise, she also informed that the government was currently drafting an Integrated Land Bill which she claimed would incorporate provisions about the management of the Guthi land.
