PM Oli acted cowardly by dissolving Parliament: Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gagan Thapa has said that Prime Minister KP Oli acted cowardly by dissolving the Parliament in his defense.

Addressing a protest assembly organized by the party in Nepalgunj on Monday against Parliament dissolution, Thapa accused that the ‘cowardly Prime Minister hatched conspiracies to protect his chair’.

Thapa said that the dissolution of the Parliament with the support of the President without convening a session as per the constitution was a blow to the constitution, democracy, and public sentiment.

Thapa said that not only Oli but also Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, and Jhalanath Khanal were guilty for the current situation of uncertainty in the country.

“The current situation is the result of Dahal, Nepal, and Khanal’s silence against Oli’s misrule,” Thapa said.
