NC will fight alone for democracy: Deuba

Will abide by court's decision

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said Nepali Congress (NC) will fight alone without allying with any political party in the upcoming elections.

Addressing a protest rally organized by Nepali Congress Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2 against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR), Deuba said Prime Minister KP Oli-led government took an unconstitutional move by dissolving the HoR and announcing an election date.

“Now, NC will fight its battle alone sans the support of other political parties,” Deuba said, adding, “NC will prove that it is capable of bringing the politics to the right track.”

History has proved that NC has always played a significant role in establishing democracy in the country, he said adding that they were waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court on the dissolution of the HoR.

He, however, said his party will accept the decision of the court.
