Prachanda claims of garnering a majority in upcoming elections

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has claimed of garnering a majority in the upcoming election.

Addressing at a program in Kathmandu on Monday, Prachanda thanked Prime Minister KP Oli for allowing him to reach out to the people and get their mandate once again.

“We must thank Prime Minister Oli for this opportunity,” Prachanda said. However, people were confused about whether Prachanda’s remarks were sarcastic or serious.

Prachanda said they will come out victorious in the upcoming elections and continue to fight to safeguard the constitution, federalism and republicanism.

He, meanwhile, came down heavily on PM Oli for dissolving the House of Representatives and following the path of Shree Teen Jung Bahadur Rana.

The faction led by Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal has hit the streets against what they said “unconstitutional” dissolution of the HoR by PM Oli.
