Kathmandu Valley witnesses 287 COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 287 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 207 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 22 in Bhaktapur, and 49 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, the country recorded a total of 659 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus tally reached 258,840 in the country as of Monday afternoon.

Likewise, the Ministry shared that now the country has 6,427 reported active cases of the virus.

In the past 24 hours, altogether 718 infected people got recovery from the virus infection. So far, 250,581 people recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.

Similarly, seven persons succumbed to the virus across the country in the past 24 hours, hitting the total COVID-19 related deaths to 1,832.

Meanwhile, a total of 297 COVID-19 patients in Nepal are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and ventilator support.

A total of 257 patients are in ICU and 40 on ventilator support.
