Agreement signed for optical fiber



KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom (NT) and Tarai-Madhesh Express Highway signed an agreement on laying optical fiber.

NT Spokesperson Rajesh Joshi shared that the company will regularly monitor the technical parts of the bid with its own cost.

The 72.5 kms road section, the shortest ones to link the federal capital to Tarai is under construction.

The fiber network can carry huge-scale data, Joshi said.

The Managing Director Dilliram Adhikari of NT and Brigadier General of NA Bikash Pokhrel signed the deal.

The Nepal Army is constructing the mega project targeting to complete it by 2080/81 BS.
