KATHMANDU: A total of 19 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll from the coronavirus to 1,454 as of Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 1,380 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 230,723 with fresh cases as of Saturday afternoon.

A total of 515 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 211,186 in the country.

Nepal currently has 18,083 active cases.

Likewise, 618 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 19 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,454, the Ministry confirmed.
