Province 2 sees record-high 927 recoveries

36 fresh cases added to coronavirus tally



JANAKPURDHAM: With record single-day discharge cases of 927 on Monday, Province 2 got 8,726 discharge cases till date.

According to the Province Health Directorate of Province 2, there were 227 females and 760 males discharged on Monday.

The directorate stated that there were 205 recoveries in Bara, 201 in Rautahat, 175 in Mahottari, 152 in Dhanusha, 129 in Sarlahi, 92 in Parsa, 22 in Saptari, 20 in Siraha today.

36 new cases added on Monday

According to Bijaya Jha, Senior Public Health Administrator of Province Health Directorate of Province 2, the province witnessed 36 new cases including 16 in Bara, six each in Parsa and Dhanusha, 3 in Rautahat, 2 in Siraha, and one each in Saptari, Sarlahi and Mahottari.

He informed that with Monday cases the number of coronavirus cases in the province has reached 13,419.

Likewise, the province saw two coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of death cases has reached 129 on Monday.
