Father arrested on the charge of raping daughter



DHADING: A man has been arrested on the charge of raping his daughter.

The 35-year-old father of Tripura Sundari rural municipality was arrested based on complaints that he repeatedly raped his 14-year-old daughter, according to District Police Office.

The girl told police that she was raped by her father when her mother and younger brother were not home recently on September 24, said SP at the Office Rabindra Regmi. The girl is now in a safe house and a health examination has been carried out.

According to the girl, she was being raped by her father since he was five-year-old and that the matter was known to her mother. Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
