Nine companies face action for manufacturing toxic hand sanitizers



KATHMANDU: The Department of Drug Administration (DoDA) has taken action against as many as nine companies for manufacturing hand sanitizers laced with toxic chemicals.

Issuing a press release on Sunday, the DoDA said nine companies were found manufacturing toxic hand sanitizers breaching the standards determined by the government.

Earlier, the Department had penalized four companies for breaching the standards.

The names of products and the companies are as follows:
