MAHOTTARI: The Bardibas Municipality in the district of Mahottari is providing tests for COVID-19 for its people following the detection of the infection at community level.
Municipality Mayor Bidur Kumar Karki said that the municipality has purchased a machine to conduct PRC and RDT tests.
Those who have come in contact with the infected people have been prioritized, he said.
“The provincial hospital had to depend on Janakpur for the infection tests without a machine. It would take at least 15 days in general for reports. But with the facility at home, one can get reports in two days or so,” he said.
At least 800 swab samples could be tested a day, he said.
